In 1967, I met and married my husband, at St. I graduated with a degree in Art History in 1963 and worked for an art gallery in New York for several years before returning to California and settling in San Francisco. I was a good student and went east to Smith College, attending their chapel services regularly. Hall’s sermons and became a believer there. My parents were not churchgoers, but when I was twelve, I began attending the Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, then under the leadership of Dr. During my childhood, my parents moved several more times, to Atherton, Menlo Park, and then Mountain View.

Soon after, we moved to San Carlos, where I was baptized in a Presbyterian Church at age six. My family arrived in San Francisco from the Midwest in 1943, when I was two years old. I am honored to be considered to be part of Grace Cathedral Congregation Trustees. With my enthusiastic and consensus driven approach, I enable our teams to make effective business decisions. From guiding architecture and programing of several multi-building campuses to collaborating with local designers for community based installations, my responsibility there is broad and impactful. I work for Apple’s Real Estate division and lead their Architecture and Design Group and have worked with the company since 2008. When not living or working around the globe, Grace Cathedral has been my home church since 1999.

My experiences with the mechanics of ministry has served me as a strength in guiding and working with both volunteer organizations and my work career. While in university, I served on the National Church Student Board, founded a dining program for the hungry, and served as the youth leader for the Cathedral for the Diocese of Kansas. I have been so proud to be a part of the community at Grace, and I would wholeheartedly welcome an opportunity to serve as a Congregation Trustee endeavoring to advocate for and support its mission of service.įirst drawn to the Episcopal Church in high school, I have remained active throughout the years. These experiences and those of Grace over the last couple of years have made me acutely aware of my need for Church in my life and for it in the world.

In the Episcopal Church, I have served as acolyte, lector, thurifer, verger, and member of the Congregation Council (at St. While originally from a small town in Texas, the Episcopal Church has been a guide and home for me since I lived in New York City and subsequently in Los Angeles and Phoenix. I am a trained pediatric neuro-oncologist and the Executive Vice President of Clinical Development at Nurix Therapeutics in San Francisco where I develop new cancer therapies. I have been a member of Grace Cathedral since moving to San Francisco in 2017 and have been fortunate to serve on the altar guild (4 years) and the Stewardship committee (2 years).
